Checkers History can be dated back to1400 B.C. This early form of the game was known as Alquerque being played throughout Egypt.

References to Alquerque where made by the greatest minds of the time, Homer and Plato.

The game arrived in Europe during the 12th century A.D. and the introduction of modern day Checkers. A Frenchman converted the pieces and rules to an 8x8 chessboard played with a 12 pieces on each side which resulted in the checkers we all know and love.
